New Look for Kraemer Middle School Kraemer Middle School was built in 1959 and this summer the campus will experience a needed makeover thanks to the community's support of the Measure A school bond. Improvements began this summer.
A re-designed main entry to the campus will include wider sidewalks for safety, improved vehicle circulation, and a relocated office entrance that is built at grade. This work is associated with the modernization of the Administration Building (see below) and will finalize in July 2011.
The modernized administration building will feature a new floor plan with larger main lobby for students and guests, clerical areas, attendance office, nurse's office, workroom, conference room, and offices for the principal, assistant principal and counselor. Completion: July 2011
The boys' and girls' locker rooms will receive new lockers, expanded storage areas, upgraded coaches' offices, custodial storage rooms and restrooms. Completion: August 2010 The modernized band room will feature new classroom space, instrument storage, an office and uniform storage space. Completion: August 2010
This new building will be ready for use in September 2011. It will be an area that retains the traditional elements of a library with the new elements of a state-of-the-art research media center. In addition to the traditional book stacks, the space features 18-24 reading seats and 35 media information hubs. The center also features three digital card catalog stations and a mobile interactive board.
