Congratulations Kraemer Middle School!! The school’s math club reached Gold Level Status in the MATHCOUNTS Club Program. At least 12 members each scored an 80% or better on the Monthly Challenge Test. This is an extremely commendable accomplishment. Kraemer received a banner to recognize its achievement. The team had placed 2nd at regionals. Events ranged from written tests to lab practicum's to building projects (towers, bridges, robots, cars, etc.). Students began to practice as early as October to be ready for events. Teachers Jeff Christiansen and Debbie Goodding were the team's advisors.
Dear Kraemer Families,
It sure seems like each year goes by just a little faster than the last. This year is already half over and I just wanted to start off by saying “Thank You” to all the parents who have made this first half of the year a great success. You are greatly appreciated and without all of your help and diligence, the PTA wouldn’t be where it is today.
The PTA has provided some great events this year thus far and we’re excited to provide many more. The PTA is proud to help with the RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) program this year. The PTA gives 25% of the total funds and the government provides the remaining amount. The RIF program allows us to give 3 free books a year to each student at Kraemer. Thanks to all who helped with our Holiday Staff Luncheon and making it a huge success. Our teachers and staff enjoyed it tremendously and the PTA was happy to do it for them. Even with the huge downpour, our In N Out Fundraiser went great. This fundraiser wasn't just about our PTA, but also for the In N Out Foundation. A portion of the money that was raised was donated to their foundation that helps abused children. Thanks to all who participated in the Reflections program. Those that were chosen from our unit to move on to the Council level will be announced at the end of March. All the entries were wonderful and we hope more students will participate next year.
The PTA meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 6:30pm in the library. I would love to hear your inputs at these meetings. If you can’t make these meetings but you do have a concern or any ideas, please feel free to call or email me. If something is going well, we’d love to hear about those too.
Again thank you and lets make the rest of 2010 an awesome year for our kids.
