Math Counts Club

Kraemer's Math Counts Club is open to all students and meets Wednesdays during the 2018-2019 school year.

Our club participates in three competition programs:

  1. Math Counts
  2. Math Olympiad
  3. AMC 8

Math Counts is a competition program. We take a team of four students and six individual competitors to regional and state competitions at UCI in the spring. Everyone is welcome to train in the fall and try out for the team.

Math Olympiads is contest program. There are five contests per year, and each contest consists of five math questions. Everyone is welcome to do the Math Olympiad contest.

AMC 8 is a 25-question multiple choice test for middle school students designed to promote problem solving skills. Everyone is welcome to take the AMC 8. (This test is offered in November.)

All three programs focus on 6th - 8th grade standards for mathematics, but provide challenging and non-routine problems to push our students to think critically and differently about mathematics. Kraemer's Math Counts Club provides the extra incentive and the perfect atmosphere for students to achieve more in mathematics during middle school.
